Waste management Sector Sponsor’s role:
In association with the host country’s government, the Waste management Sector Sponsor is principal responsible party for the sector, and such is required to:

Sponsor the formulation of the Waste management Sector development plans; the establishment of a collaborative network; the formation and implementation of the sector master plan that includes the building of shared facilities and meeting minimum volume requirements, and penetrating the host country's market;
- Develop and direct the implementation of the sector’s goals, objectives, policies, procedures and working standards for the sector;

prepare and administer the sector’s budget, including determining staffing and operational needs; approves and monitors departmental expenditures;

Operate in an ethical, transparent, accountable, socially responsible and non-partisan manner;

Determine the priorities in consultation with the host country’s governments, communities, industries and other economic development stakeholders Use partnerships where appropriate;

Prioritize and allocate available resources; reviews and evaluates program and service delivery; makes recommendations for improvement and ensures maximum effective service delivery;

Provide credible information to reduce Infrabanx’s investor uncertainty;

Prepares and direct the preparation of a variety of written correspondence, reports, procedures, ordinances and other materials; maintains and directs the maintenance of working and official departmental files.

Monitor changes in laws, regulations and technology that may affect company operations; implements policy and procedural changes as required.
